I replaced the control board and it worked as it should.
I had to take off the top lid by removing two screws behind the machine. Then I had to remove four screws that held the control panel in place. I disconnected the plugs to the control board to free the control panel from the dryer. I removed four screws that held the control board to the control panel. I removed the control board from the control panel by prying both sides of the control board. I inserted the new control board into the control panel, put the four screws back to secure the control board to the control panel. I inserted all the removed plugs back in, screwed the control panel back in place with the four screws, replaced the lid and switched on the machine and it worked immediately. The whole repair took 20 minutes.
