Joyce J Tarboro , NC March 03, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG DISHWASHER-MODEL MDB7809AWB0 Controls started not to respond with desired settings and the first light showing activity would be drying later the contols would light up for the setting but the start would not respond at all Researched online for the model with issues that matcheB7809d closely to mine and determined that I would order the part that appeared to solve other's issue. Needed the Control Panel for the Maytag Model MDB7809AWB0. Just removed 6 torque screws to remove the old control panel from the door panel. Then removed the parts from the old panel which included the door handle part and the control board assembly by releasing the 4 tabs holding it in place using a flat head screw driver and unplugging the ribbon cable. Reattached the part removed into the new part and reassembled to the door panel. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
