To attach the new door you will need to pop the corner of the plastic framing loose where the top hing is being inserted then it will go into place. The new door does not have separate piece at the top hing like the original.
I had replaced the door handle serveral months eariler. Then the inside plastic framing starting coming loose when I opened the door so I had to buy a door to resolve my problem. If your door handle needs replacing get the whole door instead of the handle..There is only a price difference of about $8.00. and you would have extra parts if ever needed. My door was 9 yrs old.
