Lee W Bloomington , IN May 05, 2014 Appliance: Model GLMMV169DBC Corner of plastic framing around the inside for the door came loose when opening the door Microwave door replacement for Model: GLMMV169DBC To attach the new door you will need to pop the corner of the plastic framing loose where the top hing is being inserted then it will go into place. The new door does not have separate piece at the top hing like the original. I had replaced the door handle serveral months eariler. Then the inside plastic framing starting coming loose when I opened the door so I had to buy a door to resolve my problem. If your door handle needs replacing get the whole door instead of the handle..There is only a price difference of about $8.00. and you would have extra parts if ever needed. My door was 9 yrs old. The trick is to be careful when you remove the inside plastic frame to reach the door hinges. Don't force the plastic frame will break. Take the old door off and replace with the new one. The old door come off very easily (Just remove a small plastic piece in the corner). The new door was harder to get on, and if it ever needed replacing, it would be very difficult to get off. However, overall, the project lasted 5 minutes and was easy to do myself.
