The ice maker in my Frigidaire has been temperamental for most of the time I have owned it. While defrosting it recently (I often have to use YouTube to figure out how to deconstruct it), I found the housing was cracked. This cracked housing is why I saw water dripping down the interior back wall of the frig. The drain was also blocked with a solid plug of ice. The replacement housing did not come with any of the seal stripping. I bought some from an auto-parts store. I melted the ice in the plugged drain, applied seals, install the new housing, and reassembled the ice maker. It took a little more than an hour. 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours
