Disconnected power and water, pulled out dishwasher, removed side panels, removed cale assemblies and replaced with the purchased cables. re-installed side panels re connected electric and water, and put dishwasher back under cabinet. I recommend replacing both cables, ( one on each side) at the same time. One was broken and the other was showing considerable wear.
