This is our second go around with this particular problem so it was an easy diagnosis and fix. The first time, a year or so ago, I found an odd looking black rubber (?) fat washer-like piece on the floor. Mysterious. I didn't think too much about it because it wasn't until I found another one a few weeks later that the dishwasher door would not stay ajar. Fell open all the time unless latched closed. Went to the Internet and described the problem and that took me to a AppliancePartsPros video which not only explained exactly what had happened (right down to finding the little pads on the floor!!), but what parts to order and how to replace them. We ordered the parts, got them in lightening fast time, and watched the video again. So easy even an old couple (nearly 80) like me and my beloved can do it. Hardest part was pulling out the dishwasher!
