I followed the directions prescribed in the video for this part. The video mostly showcased a best case scenario for removing the old part but was helpful for finding out what to do first.
Disconnect power.. I had to turn of a breaker and remove a few wire nuts for ours, no plug.
Since the heating element broke so close to its end in the dishwasher I had to Hold onto it with a pair of vice-grips in order to get the plastic nuts at the bottom loosened.
I also had a tight space to try to turn the dishwasher out of the cabinet in so that made it tricky.
I persevered and I was able to install the new part myself and saved a lot of money on a skilled technician.
