I have been struggling to find what temperature my fridge and freezer was at because my display was not lighting up the digits but everything still worked. Replaced the dispenser control board and back to new again! Unplug the refrigerator. There is a phillips screw underneath the dispenser. Then take a flat screwdriver, underneath the dispenser,, in the slot openings (hug the screwdriver closest to the sides of the dispenser) on the left and right, slightly twist the screwdriver. This should pop the bottom of the display out. The top of the display is also held in by plastic clips, I just gave it an easy tug side to side and the display snaps off. This part made me feel uneasy like it could break something, but it came right off. Might be a better way to release the clips... Unplug the wires to the display, I used a hairdryer to warm up the adhesive on the plastic screen, peeled off and stuck onto the new board. Lights are bright again!
