Luis G Northville , MI June 28, 2021 Appliance: Model RSG275AARS Keep your old panel!!! LED's not functioning right at the very least. Simple replacement, found some help online: disconnected fridge, removed one screw under the dispenser, flat screw on tabs on the sides, close to the front, pulled it, disconnected the panel assembly, removed 3 screws on back of display-panel cover, removed panel. BEWARE that if you are buying this model of display-led panel, now these are NO LONGER coming with the plastic screen. When I opened the part coming from AppPartPros it was missing the screen, called them, told APP it was missing the screen (a must for filtering light to display characters right otherwise you only see lights from hollow led panel. The response was that "that was it" that manufacturer was no longer including the plastic screen for the display (e.g. the black flat thing you see at the center, a thin flat rather flexible plastic) without it, it is only a hollow panel (you may find some sellers that show same part with no plastic screen). What I did was I took a hair drier, heated the film a bit, and used a very thin metal flat tool (used to pry and separate glued surfaces such as iphone covers), which looks like a metal ruler. I was able to separate this screen from the panel plastic grid, heating the glued helped. You must be careful not to cut or bend the plastic film too much otherwise would not look ok. After removing, the remains of glue were enough to position it on the replacement. So, don't throw your OLD Display-LED panel. My advice to the buyer, consider you will have to do this but is doable. My advice to APP... fix your photos as I was disappointed because I saw other companies selling the "screen-less" panel but I chose to buy yours because the photos showed it. I spoke with the customer care supervisor, he assured me that is what they are getting nowadays, and that they were not aware of this issue. He offered me to return but the reality is that the only option would be venture with a used one. The screen swap required some special tools to "scrape" the old plastic screen. Otherwise, a simple pair of flat and Phillips screwdrivers would be all you need. The removal took some time to do it carefully. Maybe a very sharp and "tall" knife might help, use a hairdryer to soften the glue. In the end... all is working fine and the fridge is looking and working the way it should (albeit I also changed a couple of temp sensors a few months ago). Good luck. I read some notes online and discovered this site. Let me tell you how easy it was to replace this part: - 1 screw under the display housing - Flat-head screwdriver into one of he slots underneath and twist. POP! - Unscrew 3 screws on back on housing (white cover) - Unplug both display cables - Place new PBA Display into play - go in reverse order EASY!!!!! i'm not very handy, so i found this to be so simple. Mark L Seaside , CA March 15, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RSG257AARS/XAA-0000 Digital readout was missing portions of the letters and icons We found a short video on-line that made the process pretty simple. The hardest part was getting the front cover off. One Phillips head screw and two twists of a flat head screwdriver in two slots on each slide of the cover loosened it, but it took a good tug to pull it off the refrigerator. Fears of breaking it made the first few attempts feudal. Once the cover was off, we just had to unsnap two wire connnectors, remove 3 Phillips head screws and the panel was out. Interestingly, we had to remove a thin black cover on the old panel and attach it to the new one so the icons would show on the board. Pretty easy over all. I recommend doing it yourself rather than paying for a repair man. Read More... 8 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

John A San Antonio , TX March 18, 2017 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RSG257AARS/XAA-0000 Led control panel began to flicker and eventually gave out Removed one screw under the control panel, used two screwdrivers to push in tabs ( at the same time)located on either side of the water dispenser. Pulled the entire control panel off, unpluged two wire harnesses, removed three small screws. After that the old LED panel was visible, remove the front sticker off the old one!!! Now place the sticker on the new one and DONE!!! The most difficult part was removing the entire panel from the actual door. I was being extremely careful not to scratch the stainless steel.
