Arthur B Gaithersburg , MD December 02, 2014 Door stop bracket sheared after too much abuse There's what needed to be done and there was what was done. Either way it starts with the door stop bracket shearing off and needing to be replaced. Actual work wise. 1) Remove the shelves 2) Remove the 5/16th hex heads at the top 3) Lift the door up and lay it down 4) torx to get the bracket off and the new one on 5) Reverse process Time it should have taken: 30 minutes What actually happened: Watched the video for the wrong model. Curse and be stubborn while trying to figure out how to get the door off (including which tool do I need). Finally get the door off. Take the broken piece off, get distracted by my toddler making noble attempts at first steps, put the broken piece back on. Get the door on. Realize mistake. Do the job right. Laugh at my self because stupid stuff like this always happens. 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
