Good idea to snap a few picture on iPhone or digital camera as you go along.
Remove 16 torque screws from back metal panel
Pull down small plastic panel (6 by 4 inches), front right by pressing down locking tab, and once off, remove torque screw in centre next to round plastic drain trap.
Then insert flat screw driver around perimeter of front plastic panel (front bottom) to pry off the panel. You can also remove this panel from the back by pressing 3 plastic v-clips with your hand and panel will detach.
Squeeze slender plastic tab (with thumb and fore finger) on quick connect electric connector on pump, pull firmly on the connector body , gently rocking it back and forth. It should come off.
At front use pliers to press clamp ring and pull off pump inlet black hose.
At front there is a torque screw at bottom of pump that attaches pump to metal frame. Unscrew it. The pump is now free; tilt the pump from the back by reaching from inside front and pump will drop down from its cradle in metal frame.
Go to the back and reach inside left to withdraw pump with white pump discharge hose still attached. Pull all out as there is no room to detach discharge hose until in open area.
Take a picture of how the hose angle looks on pump or remember it. It should have same orientation once everything goes back. Else hose will be against frame inside and you will have a struggle.
2 tiny square bumpy tabs on discharge hose have to be presses simultaneously through 2 tiny receiving windows of pump outlet bell shaped receptacle that the discharge hose goes into.
As you press the 2 white tabs ( a small slot screw driver will work) pull on discharge hose by pulling it out. You may have to tilt hose slightly as tabs move away from window. A helper is also preferred to assist. There may be a tool that is used to squeeze tabs on discharge hose which appliance technician uses.
I found that the new pump's electrical socket receptacle did not have the hole to receive male electrical quick connect thin plastic locking tab. You can cut/break it out though I forced connector in and hope it does not come off. Should have wrapped electric tape around it.
There are also electric push on individual connector with crimps to splice wire into (Home Depot) and modify the connector. You can then push these c shaped connector on to metal electrical tab of new pump and connect old quick connect wires to these retrofitted new tabs crimp on splice. That's if you can't push washer pump quick connect onto new pump.
REASSEMBLY
Is the reverse of disassembly. The discharge hose ( clean area around o ring with rag) should just snap in.
Remember to tilt pump on to front metal frame cradle and it will seat neatly to install bottom torque screw
Make sure the black rubber hose from washer tub is firmly in all the way onto the drain pump inlet plastic tube before inserting clamp on the black hose. Put clamp where you will see its old foot printed markings. Check by gently pulling on black hose and it should not slip/walk out.
