This appliance is a stacked single unit electric washer-dryer combo and is 30 yrs old and it came with the condo. After disassembly and belt removal I discovered that the motor shaft was locked and would not rotate. Because of the level of disassembly required to reach the motor I decided to do a full rebuild with new motor, drum rollers, belt and idler despite the age of the unit. All the new parts fit and work perfectly and the unit is like new in operation.
The only real problem I had was figuring how to reassemble the idler pulley unit. This unit mounts with a bolt thru a stepped bushing and a spacer washer. The person who previously worked on the idler had obviously installed the mounting parts backward so that the pulley was loose and not solidly aligned with the belt. It was due to installing the stepped bushing and spacer on the same side of the flange. With no real pictorial guidance I had to find the correct order by trial and error.
