Replaced timer. Lots of confusion on which timer is needed for this dryer (Maytag MDE6400AYW) so do your research. First timer was not the correct part, returned it. I was told I would need to change out the wiring harness for the entire dryer to make the second timer work. Decided to try just installing the timer which worked.
