Rachel W Alexandria , VA December 16, 2021 Dryer not heating up Our dryer wasn't getting hot at all, but air was moving and the tumbling was working fine if a bit noisily. So we first tried replacing the fuse and that didn't fix the problem. Then we ordered new heating coils and installed them and the dryer was getting nice and toasty, but it was making the most awful sound. So we took it apart again and discovered that the metal bracket holding the drum glide had completely broken in half. We ordered the new bracket and glide and installed it in less than 5 minutes, put the whole thing back together again and it now is as good as new and quieter than it has been in a very long time. Replacing the heating coil was a two person job, as our model required the removal of the drum and everything to get to the element, but replacing the glide and putting the machine back together, I was able to do by myself in less than half an hour.
