The dryer would not run unless you kept the start button depressed. I found a video on youtube that spoke to the problem I was having and it pointed me to the interlock switch it was the switch

I replaced the switch. This required me to open up the dryer, disconnect the belt from the drum and replace the interlock switch. Reconnecting the drum and then the belt was a bit tricky but I had to keep playing with it. That YouTube video was a blessing from God.
