This repair was on a GE dryer model DHDSR46EG5WW and the Part Number WE4M533 (AP5780508) replaces WE4M364, 3029574, PS8690648.
First I UNPLUGGED the dryer power cord.
Removed the screws from back of dryer control panel to gain access to the timer. Next I removed the wires from old timer and placed on same connection on new timer.Next I removed old timer with a twist to the left and installed new timer(with wires connected) by twisting to the right. Then I replaced screws in back of dryer control panel. Then I plugged the dryer back in.
I used a Phillips screwdriver bit in my battery powered drill for the screws on the back of the dryer control panel and pliers to remove wires from old timer pulling on connecter only not the wire. Job 15-20 min. Super easy.
Works perfect.
