I followed the suggestions of an on-line self analysis appliance site and discovered that the culprit was the washers' door switch.
So, I shopped on-line at the Appliance Parts Pros, found the appropriate switch and ordered two new on-off and setting knobs while I was at it.
I was shocked to have them the VERY NEXT DAY!!!
It took me more time to move stuff out of the way than it did to install the parts.
My wife and I were thrilled! We are customers for life!!!
