Thought it might at first be the control station, but noticed that after shutting the breaker on and off that I could turn the burner on low and it took a little while before it latched off.
Ordered the replacement Dual Element. It was real easy to swap out.
The only tools were a Phillips to loosen the clamp on the feed to the cooktop and a 1/4" nut driver for the bolts. Just one size everywhere, just a lot of them.
Note: on the replacement burner there are no holes just the numbered positions. The two clamps which hold the burner to the glass use self taping screws. Just center the screw in the same numbered positions and they easily tap themselves into the new part.
