Lisa F Guilford , CT September 27, 2015 Electronic buttons stopped working one at a time I called a local appliance repair company. The technician came out and without talking with me diagnosed the problem as a faulty control panel and switch membrane and was going to charge me $715 to repair. This problem happened before and the switch membrane was replaced and range worked fine. I decided to research, called Appliance Parts Pros, talked with Chris, who said doing the repair on my own was possible. It was TOTALLY possible. In less than 2 hours, with ONE tool, I took apart the range, removed the control panel and the switch membrane, installed the new one, and put it all back together. The oven now works perfectly!! I'm not an appliance repair woman, I'm a mom of three with fierce Irish determination - if I can do it, any one of you can do it! 5 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours
