How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4455777 / 316549106 Membrane

I ordered the front membrane control board and installed it. The oven is now working 

Buttons slowly became harder to use and eventually stopped working on half on the number pad. After researching the solution online, I was able to purchase the replacement part on appliancepartspros.com. It was a very simple fix and the part was an exact match to the old one. Needless to say we have a fully functioning oven again and it's wonderful! I highly recommend this site for the quickness and ease of ordering the part. This particular fix is a total DIY event. If you have a basic handiness level, you can do it. 

Appliance store said it was the control panel, estimated $289 in parts plus labor to repair. I ordered the touch screen pad (membrane) only from AP Pros for about $150, which arrived within 2 days of the order, giving me enough time to install it on the night before Thanksgiving. Replacement was a bit of a pain, requiring lots of disassembly of panel components (about 2 dozen machine screws), some of which were in tricky positions. I took pictures to be sure, and did download an assembly diagram I found on the internet. Replaced defective touch screen with new on the motherboard (8 screws and "ribbon" wire connectors -- be sure to note that the holders have a release setting), got it all back together and it works fine. (I am adored by my wife.) Took about 2+ hours end to end, could do it again in maybe an hour. If you aren't handy, it may well be cheaper to give the job to the repairman -- I tend to be willing to challenge myself! 

Replaced the membrane hardest part was connecting the 2 ribbons you must pull up on the clip then ribbons slide in 

After viewing other people's questions about the same issue on your site, I ordered the replacement part recommended. This is after being quoted a repair cost of over $700 from a local shop, including two expensive parts. The single part you recommended was under $200, and I paid a handyman $50 to help with the installation, which took under an hour. (mostly a matter of pulling the range out, and undoing a lot of screws). total cost was $217, and the range works perfectly again! Your shipping was AMAZINGLY fast, by the way. Thank you so much!
