Craig P Groveland , CA October 19, 2014 Appliance: General Electric Ice Cube Maker ZDIS150WSSC Ge Ice Machine Zdis150wssc: Excessive ice production bin overfills and eventually ices up completely. How to replace Thermistor (Bin). Turn off the ice maker, unplug the power cord or shut off power at the circuit breaker. Remove all ice that can be easily removed, leaving the door open to allow the rest of the glaciation to melt, defrost, and dry out. Also remove the drain cap and drain the water reservoir as for a routine cleaning. Use a 1/4" nut driver or socket wrench to remove the screws securing the cutter grid cover immediately below the control panel. Then remove the bin thermistor by loosening the clamp on the right side wall of the bin, and carefully disconnecting the two-wire connector at the other end of the thermistor probe. Replace the bin thermistor with a new replacement part, and finally reverse the entire procedure for reassembly. 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
