Donald P Sedalia , MO December 11, 2014 My fairly new whirlpool washer lid separated at the hinge and wouldn't close properly I replaced the entire lid assembly , which took about 15 minutes. There are two screws on each side which must be removed. Then, pull the old lid out toward you and remove. Reverse procedure with the new lid.
