Curt H Covington , KY March 12, 2014 Appliance: Model LG WM0532HW FE Error on LG WM0532HW I found other posts on AppliancePartsPros.com to be helpful. Most people and pros indicated that it was the Cold Water intake valve which has 4 solenoids on it. I watched the video to replace the Hot Water valve which is right next to it. My washer opened differently than the one in the video but it was not hard to figure out. Tools needed; Philips screwdriver and pair of regular pliers. I took the screws off of the small panel on top on the back of the washer. This allowed the control assembly to be moved and tipped forward out of the way to clearly expose the valves. There was a single screw holding the valve assembly in place and then 2 more screws holding the cold water valve to the assembly plate. I took a photo of the wiring with my cell phone just in case... and unplugged the 4 electrical connectors. Using the pliers to move the hose clamps back I disconnected (one by one) the hoses and attached them to the new valve. I did them one by one so that I would not get them mixed up, and so they would not fall down into the washer. After all 4 hoses were reconnected and the clamps back in place, I plugged in the electrical connections and screwed everything back together. The whole thing took a maximum of 45 minutes. I had quite a bit of lint and dirt behind the washer and on the washer that I decided to clean up too since it had been a few years. I reattached the hoses, plugged it in and ran a cycle on hand wash to see if everything was ok... it was. So then I did a few loads of clothes and all is well. It cost me $67 including shipping. My alternatives were 1) Service call for approximately $250 or 2) New Washer for $800 18 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
