About a month ago we smelled a burning plastic smell coming from the refrigerator. It had gone away after a short while so we figured it had just gotten hot underneath so I cleaned the coils and it continued to run for about a month, at which point it stopped cooling. Upon investigation I had unplugged the refrigerator and plugged it back in to listen for the compressor to come on, but all that happened was that it would run for a few seconds followed by a distinct clicking noise and then shut off. So I took the holding pin off the compressor connections and removed them from the compressor and found that the starter and run capacitor had melted and fused together so I figures this was obviously the problem, but I tested the 3 pins on the compressor to make sure it didnt burn out as well. The readings between the 3 should be 10, 6, and 4. They were all about the correct readings so I went ahead and ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPros.com and in a few days they were here and it was just a quick reassemble and it was back running again better than ever! This is the 3rd time I've ordered from them and I will continue to use them for all my appliance needs. THANK YOU APPLIANCEPARTSPROS.COM!
