Thinking I would need a repair person, I first wanted to locate the part and see approx cost of part.
I googled Whirlpool with model of washer, and found out part number. I then googled part number and found AppliancePartsPros website. Since I have successfully benefited from repair videos in the past, I went directly to APP's video on this part. I was so happy to see that I (64 yr old female) could easily fix it myself. I ordered part and it came in a few days. I fixed it with only one minor delay. I wasn't sure what a 20 torque driver was and thought I would have to buy one. I examined the screws and realized they were what I would call "star" heads and then realized I had that tool. Only recommendation for video - show or explain the tool for us "tool challenged".
