Amber B Oakland , ME March 11, 2015 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE FRONT LOADER, IT IN USE, NUMBER UNAVAIL Front loader washer wouldn't drain or spin 1. I pulled up a video on how to check the drain pump and trap for blockages. Proceeded with taking apart the whole underside of the washer and removing 3 underwires, 7 bobby pins, .58 cents, 2 pipe cleaner candy canes, and a barette that was actually lodges in the propellor thingie of the drain pump. Put it all back together and found that the lodged item had actually burned out the drain pump. I ordered the pump with relative ease from www.appliancepartspros.com with the model number. Even though the website said 3-5 business days, I received the pump in 12 hours, and again followed a youtube video on replacement of a drain pump. It was successful changed with ease, especially for a mom of four kids, and my washer is running spectacular now. A new washer would have cost me 800.00 or more, the cost of the drain pump with shipping and the clamp was 111.00 and it took me a total of 45 minutes. It was sensational.
