My appliance is 8 yrs old....the compressor fan stopped working so initially I replaced the compressor fan motor. This did not fix the issue, which led me to the control board. Over time, the solder joints must have overheated and the fan was not getting the proper 120 volts. This was a simple fix to swap out the old control boards. The most time-consuming part of the process was learning how the ice machine worked. I most likely saved myself several hundred dollars of labor charges via a repair man!
