There was not much information online or on YouTube that nailed down the issue. After trying to get the machine into diagnostic mode The start button was the problem and the only way to fix that was to replace the motherboard.
Had to remove 4 nut screws for back panel and 2 nut screws holding the main display/control. Push the upper control support forward and then you will have access to remove 6 nut screws and all the wire connections to remove and replace the motherboard. Reverse the steps and test the washer!
