Ordered and replaced the part. I was pleased with how quickly it came. I did not order a lead kit for it, just intending to put spade terminals on the existing wires to connect to the new element, but could not find any large enough to slip on to the element's male connectors, even at the local electrical supply house. I ended up crimping forked connectors onto the existing wires and securing them with sheet metal screws to the element, and it has not given me a problem in the ensuing weeks.
