Walter N Midland , NC February 01, 2015 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL DRYER Heating element went out I had called an appliance repair company and when I asked what would be the charges might be for them to repair it they said it depended on if the repair was for the heating element or the thermal switches. So I just ordered both the heating element and thermal switch from Appliance Parts Pros for around $50 and 3 hours later I was done... It would have probably taken the repairman 1 hour but at least to me it was great learning experience. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
