I removed the old element following some instuctions I found on YouTube, and ordered a new one. It showed up at my door the very next day. Replacing it required some creative maneuvering because of the design of the dryer, but once it was hooked up and the power restored, the dryer worked better than it had in years. I guess I didn't know how worn the old element was but I do know that the dryer as probably 20 years old or more. I was very pleased with the product, the price and the speedy delivery.
