Simple replacement of the heating element. Found multiple videos on youtube that show how to to do this repair. The cooktop is easily opened by removing 3 screws, but I recommend having a second set of hands when performing the repair because you will have to hold up the glass stove top and unscrew the components. The heating element is attached to a bracket that comes off easy as well. Also have to detach 5 wires that mate by sliding together. We took a picture before removing to make sure we rewired the correct way. The only difficulty we had was removing the 2 clips the attach the element to the bracket. I had to pry them off using the screwdriver like a prybar. However once they were off it was easy to swap the element and reassemble everything. This was overall an easy repair and worth doing ourselves.
