DISCONNECT POWER. Replaced all four switches. Don't mix up small & large element switches. Very easy to replace. Two screws. Five wires per switch, but my Tappan mounts them on two plastic connectors that only go on one way. Hard to screw up. Took longer to clean up behind the range!
