Stan G East Pointe , MI April 07, 2020 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG RS2556BB/XAA Ice maker would not fully dump tray, then would overfill on next cycle. I was sure that it was the ice maker assembly itself and kept putting off the repair because there was always something else to spend $100+ on. Finally got around to ordering the part but asked "Ask the Pro" to help me verify which part I needed. It was determined that more than likely, it was just the ice tray itself (a $5 part). Removed the assembly (two screws), swapped out the trays, reinstalled, and lo and behold, all works well. Do you know how many bags of ice I bought because of a $5 ice tray?
