My 3 yr old ice maker had two pieces fall out (clear plastic clip & white foam piece) and the white wire with with a sensor attached to it is hanging down about 6 inches.
I ordered and replaced the plastic clip so the sensor & foam piece is firmly attached to the ice cube tray. This clip has broken a few times (probably from the sliding drawer in the freezer yanking on the sensor wire.) I did a search and found the following step by step tutorial on how to fix it). I ordered 3 clips so I have a few extras next time it breaks. This tutorial helped me diagnose & fix the problem. Saved me a bundle not having to call a repairman.
