David C Wichita Falls , TX June 17, 2015 Water overflowing into ice bucket Samsung refrrigerator. it started when the setting was on cubes but was putting out crushed ice. then months later the water refill was running down into the ice bucket causing a massive block of ice in the bucket. look closely at the first two or three cubes in the ice tray after they unload. mine were not dumping and staying in the tray. when the water refill kicked on it would overfill the tray (because of the leftover cubes remaining in the tray) and would run down into the ice bucket and the problem would repeat itself over and over. the new flex tray from appliance parts was the fix. the old one had lost some of its flex and was not letting go of those first three cubes causing the problem. installed new tray and now have nice full cubes in my ice tea. the parts arrived in TWO days!! thanks APP Read More... 239 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Patrick G Cin , OH August 11, 2014 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG PART NUMBER: DA63-02183A Ice maker makes large chunks of ice instead of individual cubes My 3 yr old ice maker had two pieces fall out (clear plastic clip & white foam piece) and the white wire with with a sensor attached to it is hanging down about 6 inches. I ordered and replaced the plastic clip so the sensor & foam piece is firmly attached to the ice cube tray. This clip has broken a few times (probably from the sliding drawer in the freezer yanking on the sensor wire.) I did a search and found the following step by step tutorial on how to fix it). I ordered 3 clips so I have a few extras next time it breaks. This tutorial helped me diagnose & fix the problem. Saved me a bundle not having to call a repairman. http://www.how-to-diy.org/oQxozFiXGPUMlo/How-to-Fix-a-Samsung-Refrigerator-Ice-Maker-Large-ice-chunks-not-breaking-apart-(Read-description).html Read More... 33 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
Lois F Troy , AL November 05, 2014 Ice clumping together in a samsung refrigerator ice maker Took the ice maker out inserted the loose sensor into the sensor bracket then put the senor bracket cover on and place the assembly into the ice maker. You can find youtube videos as to the process. I found it much easier to remove the ice maker to get the parts into their correct places. Now ice is in production as it should be all loose.
