Replaced the whole thing. I have a KitchenAid fridge from 2013. Three screws and one plug. Pretty easy. The only challenge is I removed the old one a week before and I couldn’t remember which direction the plug went in. It didn’t appear to be keyed. Tip: black wire faces up.
