Ordered a new unit and it was new in package as advertised. Removed two screws and plugged the new unit in. It worked immediately. One thing to consider if yiu have a similar problem with this model is to unplug the refrigerator and let the computer reset. In my case y
The ice make needed to be replaced anyway, so no harm no foul. Customer service was great. No complaints.
