The ice maker on this fridge has had several well-known problems since new. For quite a while, it would over-produce ice, get jammed up, and stop working completely even after the ice was emptied. I read somewhere on the web that beginning with version 8.1 of the ice maker control board, the problems had been fixed. I checked, & our board was version 8.0, so I ordered a new one, which is currently version 8.5, from AppliancePartsPros, and all seems to be well now. It makes ice, stops when the bin is full, and makes more after we use some. It's been a few days, and no jams. And thanks to their online chat for helping me confirm that I was buying the correct part for my model.
