I diagnosed the problem to be a broken return spring or broken spring attachment. I had to order the entire Dispenser Funnel Guide. The part arrived the next day and the work only took about 15 minutes. It worked perfectly. If the home owner is moderately handy, it is an easy fix. Too bad Frigidaire made such a cheap part, the part that broke was a small plastic piece about 3/16" thick. No way to fix it.
