Robert M Myrtle Beach , SC August 19, 2019 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator FGHB2866PF9A Water/ice actuator/plastic paddle Unfortunately, this part isn't sold separately, but the plastic that is attached to the metal spring that allows the actuator to disengage broke and I had to physically pull the "paddle" part back up for the water to stop coming out. Easy removal with a square bit screwdriver. First, take off the trim piece underneath the LCD display (screws are underneath), then take out the screws for the LCD display and pull down and out, then unplug the wires. Then take the screws out of the actual part being replaced along with taking out the water tube. Install new part and work backward, easy fix took 10 min and the part was delivered super fast (I chose the second cheapest shipping option and it was delivered next day). Bruce R The Villages , FL December 31, 2019 The water/ice dispenser paddle on our Frigidaire refrigerator would not turn off, it seemed obvious that the return spring had broken or become dislodged First of all, I'm a die-hard DIYer. This happened on Saturday, December 28th. I first made a "McGyver" repair using a rubber band. Then I found the exact replacement part on AppliancePartsPros.com and ordered it that same day. The next day, Sunday, December 29th, the replacement module arrived at my door. The repair could have not been easier. After turning off the power and water, I removed 6 screws to get to the module, then removed two plugs and the waterline and out came the bad water controller module. I set the replacement module in place, reconnected the two electrical plugs and water lines, then secured the six screws, turned on the power and water and the job was done. It probably took me longer to write this review than to do the actual repair (I'm a slow typist). With the money I saved, I treated my wife to a nice dinner out. You can do this repair, I guarantee it. Read More... 13 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
