Replaced it with a new Whirlpool icemaker: W10882923 / AP6037857. The icemaker came with two harnesses: one for 22Cu Ft, one 25 Cu Ft refrigerator. Instructions did not specify which harness to use. My old harness (25 Cu Ft refrigerator) had a brown connector for the solenoid. I used the new harness with the brown connector, and it worked. It would have been nice if the instructions specified which harness to use or if the harness had a label.
When installing the new ice maker, you have to push hard on the icemaker to overcome the overhead rubber water hose.
This icemaker has an adjustment screw to adjust the water flow. This will help in preventing ice cubes from "sticking" together. Nothing in the instructions addressing it.
