William W New Concord , OH February 21, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Gas Range JGS968TEK1WW Ge Range Jgs968tek1ww: The igniter for a cooktop burner no longer functioned. How to replace Cooktop Burner Gasket. Used a small torx or star head driver to remove the plate hiolding the old igniter. Pull plate up and slide off the electrical wire from the old ignite. Removed the old igniter. Intalled the new one. Removed the old gasket and installed the new one. Slid electrical wire onto new igniter. Reassembled the plate to the cooktop. Malfunctioning ignter resolved!
