Carlos B Austin , TX January 28, 2017 Igniter was dead My stove is probably 15 years old and when I was removing the screws that hold the burner in place on top of the stove top, both of them broke off so I had to replace the entire assembly. APP had all the parts I needed and were helpful on the phone. However when I was attempting to loosen the gas line to the burner the tubing wouldn't release from the brass nut and the tubing twisted too much. Even though it didn't appear broken I wasn't comfortable knowing the metal was surely weakened so I had to order replacement tubing as well. That was my fault as my hand was blocking my view of the part that of the tube that was twisting. If I had seen that happening I probably could have prevented the additional damage 12 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
