The old lamps were so brittle that they were falling apart. One had broken off already and the other was cracked. First I turned the power off to the stove. I just unscrewed the 2 screws that held the lamp/switch assembly in place, unplugged the 2 wires on each of the lamps, inserted the new lamps, plugged them in, and inserted the assembly into place and tightened the screws. Very easy job and saved the cost of a service call.
