Knowing the odds of 2 failures occurring at the same exact time was unusually high, I just searched your site for what other broken items might affect these two failures. Came up with next control item upstream and tallied that item failure with percentages of successful repairs, (4 mins.) door safety switch.
Since I had to change out the most likely of the 3 and since I was already was going to be into the switch panel I ordered all 3 and swapped them all out to cover my butt, as they were inexpensive and I was going to have to spend time in that area anyway. One Phillips head screwdriver, three Philips head screws, 4 minutes of my time to carefully remove parts, 3 minutes to install new switches and 5 minutes to carefully reinstall panels and...PROBLEM SOLVED.
Knowledge is power...The Internet can provide knowledge and experience of millions of repairs, (if those sites can be trusted, which is vitally important with all the fake information out there). I have and still do trust this site and their parts prices are reasonable. Again they have come to the rescue. What any novice would have considered being a catastrophic appliance failure, was actually a simple maintenance wear issue from 10 years of LG reliable product use. Instead of spending $900 plus tax on a new unit and 4 hrs of my time to take out, travel to the store, and put and reinstall a new unit, I spent less than 30 mins and $40.13 and again...PROBLEM SOLVED.
Successful companies aren't successful by accident. They either do things better than their competitors or they resort to short-term success by unethical means. Appliancepartspros.com simply has provided a fair parts pricing platform, with exceptional customer service and has done so for a very long time. As a 45-year successful multiple business owner having been involved in almost all businesses to include B to B, retail, manufacturing, service, maintenance, R &D, etc. I can recognize a well run long term customer satisfaction, retail operation...to date from my experience purchasing from this company...this is one.
KEEP IT UP... and please resist the temptation down the road to get suckered into looking for better profit margins by cutting back on your ethical behavior.
