Checks disclosed that the run relay on the Kenmore refrigerator purchased in 2003 was inoperative.Visited the SEARS maintenance outlet but they could not identify on their computer the part which I physically took to them. I should add that nowhere on the refrigerator could we find the model number, and I assure you we did check the unit completely. Took the information off the compressor but the people at SEARS said it was not helpful.
Perused the internet and found APPLIANCE PARTS PROS,and under Kenmore parts heading found that they had the run relay.Immediately placed a phone call, the people were very courteous and had them ship next day delivery.....inserted the new run relay and the refrigerator is working again.I also must add that the photo of the run relay in the Appliance Parts Pros listing was very helpful in identifytin the required part.
