George B Mcallen , TX September 05, 2016 Appliance: KitchenAid Refrigerator KBFA25ERSS01 Kitchenaid Refrigerator Kbfa25erss01: The keyboard on our kitchenaid refrigerator would display temperature but none of the touch buttons would respond to pressure. How to replace Keyboard, Utah. We replaced the "Keypad, Utah". Part #AP6010471. Wasn't too difficult but anyone doing it should be very careful when removing the keyboard ribbon cable from the control board. One of the prongs broke off from our control board when removing the keyboard cable socket but, luckily, we were able to solder it back on ok and the repair worked fine. The keyboard is glued on so you'll have to remove it slowly and then line the new one up carefully when replacing it. We downloaded a KitchenAid repair manual KAR-16 off the internet which helped with removing the light / keyboard module (very easy) but didn't detail removal of the glued on keyboard. We figured that out on our own. 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
