Ordered a new Oven Control unit and an Overlay (ours was punctured in a few places -- old and brittle). Opened the stovetop and removed some screws from the front control panel area. Followed the advice from Appliance Parts Pros' video to take a photo of the locations of all the connections on the old panel before removal -- that was an instrumental step to the success of this project! The whole job took just over an hour. Now the over controls and timers work like new -- because they are! Also, a "magnet on the end of a telescoping stick" tool is an invaluable part of every toolbox. I used it several times to retrieve a dropped screw.
